A family of three tries to survive in the dusty and dim atmosphere of the abandoned apartments evacuated for destruction... Existence of her old mother and disabled daughter is bounded up to Zeynep's fight... Under this compulsive circumstances and pressure of her landlord Kudret's for rent arrears, Zeynep has to take a job offer and move out of town where even finding an ordinary job is impossible...

Erdem Tepegöz

Born in 1982 in Izmir, Turkey. He studied Economics at the University of Dokuz Eylül in, Izmir. He completed a filmmaking workshop at Prague Film School and has worked as an assistant director. He directed commercial films as well as award-winning short films. He currently resides in Istanbul. THE PARTICLE (Zerre) is his first feature-length movie. Along with numerous national film awards (2012), it has won the Golden George for the Best Film at the 35th Moscow International Film Festival, where Jale Arikan also picked up the Best Actress Silver George.
