On 14-22 July, Odessa International Film Festival takes place in Ukraine. The festival has been held since 2010 and among different sections it offers three contest programmes: International, National and European Documentary Competitions.

Developing professional film industry is one of the main aims of Odessa film festival. Therefore, in the frame of "Film Industry Office" the films at production/post-production stage are being presented and discussed. Tbilisi International Film Festival program coordinator Ana Chkonia is taking part in the industrial section of Odessa Film Festival.

Usually, the Grand Prize of the festival is awarded by the audience choice. Films in other nominations (The Best Film, Best Director and Best Acting) are judged by a special invited jury.

"My Happy Family" by Nana Ekvtimishvili and Simon Gross is among the participants of International Competition Programme.

Special screening of Zaza Urushadze's Tangerines will also be held. Georgian director is invited as a member of National Competition jury.

This year's festival programme includes master classes given by famous cinematographers such as Christian Petzold, leading The International jury and Sergei Loznitsa.

One session or the festival will be held traditionally at "Potemkin stairs". These well know stairs from Einsenstein's movie will become an open-air cinema for 15 000 viewers to see Julien Duvivier's "The Ladies' Paradise" accompanied by the symphony orchestra.
