On December 2, the closing ceremony of the 24th Tbilisi International Film Festival was held, and the winners were announced.
For the best full-length fiction film, the Prometheus went to Zaza Khalvashi's film "Drawing Lots," while Mariam Bitsadze's "Supra" won the award for the best short-length feature film.
In the nomination for the best full-length documentary film, the Prometheus was awarded to director Giorgi Parkosadze for the film "Requiem for Hot Days of Summer." In the best short documentary film category, the award went to Aki Manuki for the film "Igi."
Special mentions from the jury were given to:
- • In the full-length feature film category: Elene Naveriani's "Blackbird, Blackbird Blackberry."
- • In the full-length documentary category: Luka Beradze's "Smiling Georgia."
- • In the short feature film category: Salome Kintsurashvili's "Runaway."
- • In the short documentary film category: Giorgi Parkosadze's "Master of Loss." It is noteworthy that the director also received the Georgian Film Institute award for this film.
Additionally, within the festival's framework, the European Union Award "Human Rights in Cinema" was presented to Iranian director Abbas Amini for the feature film "Endless Borders" and to the director Luka Beradze for the documentary film "Smiling Georgia." The Georgian Documentary Association - DOCA award was given to Danish director Lea Glob for the film "Apollonia, Apollonia."
On Sunday, December 3, the Tbilisi International Film Festival bids farewell to moviegoers for the year.
